Car parts that modify, protect or enhance its custom body are offered by auto part stores and manufacturers. Examples of these parts are bumper protectors, fender flares, front end masks and grilles. To prevent bumper scratch caused by loading and unloading of cargo, rear bumper protector can be used. Some products use tread pattern available in matte black finish that can be installed easily using adhesive tapes.

 

Door edge moldings can also be used for added protection and finished look of door edges. For a "street sport look"  fender flares can be added. Some flares are made from dura-flex, a high-impact, low temperature thermoplastic that offers flexibility and strength even in extreme weather and road conditions. Front end masks are used to protect the car's finish against scratches caused by minor road debris and to prevent slipping or problems caused by loose fitting. Factory grilles can also be replaced by aftermarket grilles for customized look that would suit the user's taste and choice.
